Artist's Note
This piece is now part of the home of a dear friend, an Aikido practitioner. Looking at it, I am vividly reminded of our 20s, when we were both completely devoted to the art of Aikido together.
My friend, whose roots are in South Africa, now keeps this work in her room, and for me, it remains a symbol of those cherished, shared memories.
